Mother Miracle is a 501 (c) (3) NGO registered in the USA and Mother Miracle Trust is a 12A and 80G NGO registered in India. All donations are tax-deductible.

2023 Functional Expense Allocation

At Mother Miracle, we strive to allocate most of our donated funds 84% towards Program Related Expenses, while simultaneously keeping our Fundraising and Administration of costs to a minimum of 16%. We employ 60 local staff members and our Founder & President, Shahla Ettefagh, volunteers her time to Mother Miracle while abstaining from receiving a salary. On our lean annual budget, we maximize the impact of every dollar — annually, we impact the lives of at least 500 kids through our K-12 school.

Since our founding in 2005, we have relied almost exclusively on individual sponsors and donors’ generosity, who collectively make up 89% of our nonprofit income. Our sponsors donate $50 per month to support a Mother Miracle student, which goes towards their breakfast and lunch, teachers and staff salaries, books and school materials, school maintenance, admin, healthcare, and others.

Our Challenge

Unfortunately, after graduation, most of our students do not have money to attend college and lack experience and access to well-paying jobs available in the Tech sector. Therefore, we need to provide a solution that will enable our alumni to gain the employment and experience that ensure their future success.

Our Solution

To address this challenge, we will create a Technology Center where our students can learn advance technology, soft skills such as teamwork and office protocols, and provide career advice and assistance. This additional training will not only include new and advance technology, but also allow our students to gain experience and find employment.

Our Strategy

Upon graduation, our students can begin advance training in our sophisticated Technology Center. They will learn advance software, hardware, networking, and cyber security skills through specialty designed bootcamps. In addition, with the Career Center, we will assist them with resume building, interview skills, job hunting and finding internships. Once they have the necessary skillset, we will help them find paid remote positions in high-tech firms around the world. This allows our graduates to support themselves, save up to pursue their passion, help their families, and sponsor a new child in our school, thus breaking the cycle of poverty.

Or they can stay with us if they wish, managing the Tech Center and training the next generation of Mother Miracle students.
